The Midlife Baby Whisperer

Posted on 09. Mar, 2009 by Karen in Family and Friends

dscn0858 Meet Baby D – my new little cousin.  He was born very early Saturday morning and I was there!  What an amazing experience to be present to welcome a new life into the world.

While Baby D was warming up under the heat lamp, I was talking to him – one of the very first voices he heard in this outside world.  Even though Baby D was only 10 minutes old, he turned his head toward my voice and stopped crying to listen.  In that moment, I felt like a “baby whisperer”, not a midlife coach. It was so very special.

Yet another great stop on my midlife trip.

    He is – Perfection!
As for BabyWhisperer, methinks you are ‘Whisperer’ to all ages, for don’t we all stop to listen when you have something to say?!?!!
    Again, perfection!

Rhea–I guess I haven’t had to think about what a shock it is to be all of a sudden out in the big wide open world with bright lights and noise. So I just kept telling Baby D that he was going to be fine and how beautiful he was, etc. I hope that was special–he listened at least :-)

B–You are too kind :-) But I do like the whole “whisperer” concept. Is there a course for that!!
