On the Road Again

Today is the BlogHer Reach-Out Conference in Washington D.C. — and I’m here!!  Later this morning I’ll be speaking on a panel about how I got into blogging.  The title — “I Blog, Therefore I Am.  How to Find Your Blogging Mojo”.  We’ll be talking about:

  • How or if we planned the launch and focus of our blogs
  • Whether our blogging goals have changed as we’ve gone along
  • The difference between our blogs today and when we started, and
  • How our blogging mojos — the reason why we blog — affect how we show up in the broader community.

I often reflect on my journey through the blogosphere but it’ll be great to hear what inspires and motivates others to be out here.  I’m also looking forward to the many other sessions and plan to come back recharged for more blogging here at Midlife’s A Trip.

I’ll report back on the conference tomorrow but for now I’ll leave you with the question:

    Jane–I’m not familiar with your Blogito Ergo Sum but the description of the panel was what I received from the moderator–I just reported on it in my post. Not sure where the topic for the panel came from. I was just pleased, as a newbie, to participate. But I can tell that something about this upset you. Was the description from a post you did?

    Karen,
    I was taken aback because I first wrote the post on I Blog Therefore I Am back in December of 2006 and it has been a part of my blog (it’s on my banner right now) since then. I know I don’t own the words (maybe Descartes does), but I’ve been using it around BlogHer since then, so it was a shock to see it in their promotional material like that. I know you are incapable of any nefarious (fancy word, aye?) act, so please don’t think I’m upset with you at all.
