    Oh happy day is right my hands are still shaking. I am beside myself with joy. I never thought I would live to see this. Its been a long haul hasn’t it but God smiled on us He heard our cry and he answered us so wonderfully” O happy day is right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    The day also makes me think of Sam Cooke’s “A Change is Gonna Come.” I couldn’t even read the NY Times at the coffee shop today without crying; don’t even ask about last night at the Democratic party I went to in Vancouver, WA. We were all hugging, crying, cheering.

    I will never listen to this song the same way again. I heard this music running in my head and heart from the moment California came in and it seems to be the song adopted by and affiliated with the Obama/Biden Campaign. Oh Happy Day Indeed!!!

    Thanks for sharing your joy here at Midlife’s a Trip as we celebrate these amaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing times!! Tuesday night was wild–we hung out with Peanut and Meno Mom, my niece and sister and some good friends. When MSNBC declared Barack the winner, there was lots of screaming, crying, laughing, hugging and, yes, champagne brought by friend Steve. None of us will ever forget the bond of complete joy we shared that night.
