		<description>Rog--

Clearly I lost the blog challenge but I&#039;m back. Confess that last week got away from me with all the activity around the funeral of a dear friend, Margaret.

What I found happening is that the family hour, funeral, dinner, etc. became a gathering, a reunion of sorts. I spent far more time than I thought I would connecting with friends, meeting new ones.

All and all, I think my departed friend would have been pleased with the wonderful sense of community that arose out of her passing. So many of us there were in midlife and elderhood and just really glad to see people around that we&#039;ve known for years.

I wish we could find a way to reunite around happy events. All too often lately, it seems that funerals are the meeting place. Thoughts for a future blog posting maybe.

Thanks for reading and being patient while I was missing in action.
