Midlife’s About Letting Go of Fear–Part II
Posted on 18. Sep, 2007 by Karen in Reflections
Last night I posted on letting go of fear through my "flying" experience on a ropes course. This morning I was sitting at my dining room table having a bagel (my reward after working out). I have a subscription to this wonderful little magazine called "Positive Thinking" (www.positivethinkingmag.com). I’ve been reading articles in the September/October issue as I have the time. Well today, I decided to read "Positive Thinking" while I was eating.
I opened the magazine, just randomly selecting a page. It was an article I hadn’t read or seen before. The title–"Just Let Go"–a story about how another woman left fear behind through her experience of flying through the air–at a trapeze camp, of all things. The "Twilight Zone" theme song started playing in my head.
It’s amazing how something very physically challenging can move us past the internal roadblocks in our heads. So what was the last really physically challenging thing you’ve done?
