Looks Like We’re in a Global Midlife Crisis

In a recent New York Times blog posting, Tara Parker previews the findings of a study showing that 2 million people in 80 nations report feeling unhappy and miserable in midlife.  Click The Midlife Crisis Goes Global for more.

According to the study soon to be published in ”Social Science & Medicine”, men and women experience midlife malaise at different ages.  Women bottom out around age 40 while men sink to the depths of despair at 50 or so.  Funny, I loved life as a 40-something.  Guess I missed the memo.

So can 2 million people be wrong or are we really in a global midlife crisis?  What’s your perspective?
