Get Me Off This Ladder!
Posted on 29. Mar, 2008 by Karen in Misc
I used to think I was on the ladder of success. I had the corporate job that many people dream of. But my personal life was shoved into a corner and I had this nagging feeling that something wasn’t right. Ya think?
Even though I had the seductive trappings of success, I wasn’t living in sync with my life values and I certainly wasn’t happy. I was on the ladder but it was beginning to feel rickety and just not where I was supposed to be. Then one day clarity hit as I looked around from where I was perched and realized “Oh shit. Wrong ladder.”
With a courage I didn’t think I had in me, I climbed down the ladder and headed off in search of a life that was consistent with my life purpose of helping others. Along the way I found my dream job in professional coaching. And my dream life is unfolding.
So how steady is your ladder of success?
