My mother also "packs" to leave her assisted living facility, so I totally understand where you are coming from. I found that by taking some pictures of us in the present in her assisted living home, plus by getting rid of the old pictures on the walls that I originally put there to make her place feel like "home," it helped. Now she doesn't pack everyday, but some days. I like what you're doing and can relate to a lot here. I plan to keep visiting.
