A Touching Resume for Today’s Job Market

In these tough economic times, millions of people — maybe you or someone you know — are looking for a job.  In the old days before recession, it used to be all about get that old resume out, polish it up with a few latest accomplishments and send it off to an employer you can think of.  Refreshing your resume these days just isn’t enough to make you stand out from the millions of other laid off workers using the same strategy.

Nowadays doing a job search is becoming an exercise in creativity.  So what’s the best way to get a prospective employer’s attention?  Don’t feel bad if you don’t know. But here’s a thought – ask for help from those closest to you.  Sit down with friends and family – even your kids to brainstorm some ideas.  The best ideas for showcasing your talents may come from the most unexpected places.
