Biden Time

U.S. Senator Joe Biden will step out in public today as Barack Obama’s running mate.  Learn more about Biden the man and the politician and his stand on the issues.  McCain has already come out with a negative ad about the new VP candidate.  And today is already shaping up as a flurry of commentary on what Biden brings to the table and whether he can help Obama win the presidency.

    I am thrilled because he was the mover behind the VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) in 1994. Too few public figures acknowledge the state of war that women endure every day. If he can do something to curb sexual assault and all the other forms of violence against women, he will be a hero to women all over the country.

    Oh, boy. I hope this doesn’t kill Obama’s chances. Biden can’t seem to open his mouth without sticking his foot in it sometimes. Not that I don’t think he’s a good man, I do. But VP material? Not so sure.
